Is there something called «new school» now? Doesnt matter new or old As long as it hits you I’ll just give you Maximus Metallus Nothing less nothing more All together as before This one’s for you and evermore Metallica and Slayer made the name Than thrashers to the core came Heads banging, metal rising, bands signing New times were then, good times were then Nowadays, 8 strings, no singer? Growl verse, tra-la-la chorus? Youtube likes, million streams? This one’s for you and for me Social Media: Once upon a time I & my band called Monolit (1988-1992) was destined for greatness. At just 17-18 years old we made music that at that time could easily compete with established bands. Born for this, and born to be good in this. Right before recording of debut album in 92 war in Yugoslavia came and ruined everything. Monolit too. I tried in 90ies to play in Norway with some known musicians but it didn’t click. Somehow, that music scene killed my lust to play anymore. 2006-2008 was try to make Monolit live again but it didn’t last. 3 different countrys around the globe, no chance for longivity. Although, we manage to record one fine album indeed. 2020 came and after all these years of yearning for music and playing, one day after listening to demos collected through years and thinking of how good these songs sound even today, I told myself: “If I don’t put this out now, I will die as a sad man“. And here, it is, at last! This one’s for you and for me. PG Maximus Metallus anno MMXXIII
