Lily Morris (1932)

No title - presumably lost. Note: Item starts with several shots of a man hitting golf ball with club at a rubber target on studio set. Appears to be an extra item. Lily Morris sings her famous ditty “Don’t Have Any More Mrs Moore“. She is dressed in a black cape and hat with a piece of foliage sticking out. The song (as you probably know) is about not having any more children and also not drinking too much. Lily pretends to get a bit drunk and slurs her words during one verse. She sings another verse impersonating a vicar. She ends her song with a great dance showing off her bloomers. Good for illustrating the subject of contraception and drunkenness “Too many double gins, give the ladies double chins“ she tells us. Sounds like Mrs Moore has got loads of children and a husband on the dole.
