Observer :The seventh day of screenings in competition at the Marrakech International Film Festival

The seventh day of screenings in competition at the Marrakech International Film Festival showcased two compelling films. In the morning, we were moved by “Phantom Youth,“ a 94-minute Kosovar film produced by Luana Banjrami. The story follows two young girls in 1999 who leave their village to study at a public university. They are deeply affected by the state of their identity after ten years of independence, living in this “era of lost youth.“ The afternoon brought “Silent Roar,“ a 90-minute Scottish film produced by Johnny Barrington. This film presents breathtaking natural landscapes. It revolves around a boy who lost his father at sea and struggles to adapt to his social and religious environment. He utilizes his imagination and passion for surfing to navigate this challenge. Both films captivated the audience with emotionally rich storytelling, exploring the challenges of youth and adaptation in the face of adversity. شهد الي
