Basic Saidi Combo - Tips from the Iana Dance Club with guest teacher Veronika Shulkevich

This clip is from our recent intensive at the Iana Dance Club: (tahtib) Get to work on intricate tricks with a Saidi stick (Tahtib). Tahtib is a tool used in an ancient Egyptian martial art focused on stick fighting. Today, elements of this fighting are incorporated in male Saidi dance style, and women started borrowing ideas from this tradition to add to their performances. This intensive is for intermediate/advanced levels. You are going to learn 4 dance combinations with Tahtib tricks of different complexity: two combinations from the guest teacher Veronika Shulkevich, and two from Iana. Participation in the intensive is included in the general membership at the Iana Dance Club, where you also get immediate access to 300 video tutorials on different dance topics.
