This song was featured on the album “Cuts Like A Knife“ but was actually written for a film “Star 80“ on the life of Dorothy Stratten, a Vancouver girl who went to Los Angeles to become a Playboy bunny and was murdered. Adams was touched by the story of a small town girl who went to try and better her life, only to be horrifically gunned down by a jealous boyfriend. Adams is singing live (2020) to the original TV track mixed in 1983.
