Studies have shown that listening to music can help calm your nervous system and lower cortisol levels, both of which can help reduce stress. And different types of music have different reactions on the body. For example, upbeat music can make you feel more optimistic and positive about life, while a slower tempo can quiet your mind and relax your muscles, making you feel soothed while releasing the stress of the day. STEP THREE: Walk at Lunch Research has shown that walking on a daily basis can help lessen the symptoms associated with stress.
