Named after a small town in Sapporo, Japan, where she is from, ‘Miyanosawa’ was the final stop in a daily journey for Qrion to get to high school. “Miyanosawa is a song about memories and nostalgia, about moments of realisation and inspiration, and ultimately about seeing the light and saying goodbye to your past. It’s been ten years since I made that daily journey, during which time I’ve experienced a lot of ups and downs. I finally feel like I’m able to say goodbye to my past.” - Qrion The single follows two performances in London this month, at Village Underground and MOTH Club as part of all female line-ups for International Women’s Day, raising money for The Girls’ Network.
