Heading to Russia’s NORTH! ❄️ Retro Steam Train to Karelia 🚂

One of the most common ways to travel around Russia is by train! 🚂 But there’s only ONE daily steam-powered passenger train left in Russia, and it takes you to Ruskeala Mountain Park! 🗻 For me, the Ruskeala Express is Russia’s Polar Express, the ride is just as magical as the winter wonderland outside its windows. Feel like a noble as you sit inside your royal carriage, and eat some Kalitkas to get a taste of Karelia. But I didn’t venture North alone, a very special guest came with me all the way from Mexico! 🇲🇽 And he’s never seen so much snow in Russia like in Ruskeala.❄️ The Ruskeala Mountain Park is not just enchanting, it also has history behind every marble stone.🪨 Its caves even helped build the city of Saint Petersburg! But a train isn’t the only ride we are going to take, there’s also a real Russian horse and sleigh awaiting us 🐎 and something very EXTREME! So come along on this winter journey as I head to Russia’s North, and see where Russia’s Polar Express takes me! 🚂🇷🇺 Stay up to date on my adventures, don’t forget to like 👍 & subscribe! 🔔 If you’d like to support me ❤️ 💌 For collaborations or inquiries: sashameetsrussia@ 📸 — for more content and behind the scenes of living in Russia 00:00 Where am I going? 00:58 All aboard Russia’s Polar Express! 🚂 01:27 A very special guest! 🇲🇽 02:30 Some food for the ride 🥐 03:03 We need more coal! 🔥 04:15 The only Russian retro train! 🇷🇺 05:06 Train barbecue! 🍗 06:49 Some modern elements 07:12 Girls get their hands dirty too! 07:53 Welcome to Ruskeala Park! 🗻 08:29 What is a Mexican doing in Russia?! 10:54 Russian history in a stone! 🪨 13:07 Entering a cave! 🐻 14:50 A traditional Karelian outfit! 15:47 Russian winter sleigh ride! 🐎 19:15 Something EXTREME! 😱 19:54 I am now a marble miner! 21:39 Trying a Karelian soup 🍲 22:18 Magical snow of the North ❄️ 22:57 Wishing you happy holidays! 🎄 23:29 Feliz Navidad! 🎅🏻
