Yemen: Flood Prevention

Washington DC, December 14, 2009—The region of Taiz in Yemen’s highlands is finally recovering from years of seasonal flooding. A new project is busy there building protective structures to safeguard residents and their businesses. The project is also improving the environment, creating jobs, and empowering local government.
