Railcars involved: NW gon TTGX 852063 TTGX 691119 TTGX 996149 TTGX QTTX Heavy Duty flat car covered hoppers (salt) Notes: The rumor that is going around, the cause was that the PTC (Positive Train Control) dropped the block on the screen in the lead locomotive, putting the train into emergency, thus derailing. Positive Train Control is mandated in the United states back in 2016 to help prevent accidents such as running red signals and runaways etc. Winters Rigging from New York got the contract to remove the vehicles and cut the railcars on site. Marlboro towing got the contract to haul the vehicles away for scrap. Whenever a railcar derails or is involved in a wreck, all product must be destroyed. As painful as it is to see, all vehicles will be scrapped. Some vehicles are the Ford F150s, in the King Ranch, Raptors, and the all new battery powered Lightning model. There is also some Jeeps in the other racks. The sticker price on the Raptors was in the $80,000 range!!! The House in the scene: I believe the homeowner was home at the time of the derailment. As cars piled up on the property, the cars destroyed the homeowners boat. Aerial views shows that the cars chipped the corner of the homeowners garage.
