A Haunted Dublin Pub, Ireland 1998

Paranormal activity bothering the owner of the Saggart Arms pub in Dublin. Owner of the Saggart Arms pub in Dublin Sam Moorehead is at the end of his tether. Since building an extension on the pub he has experienced a run of bad luck, It’s just one thing after another. A variety of odd occurrences led him to deduce the Saggart Arms is haunted. The final confirmation came when a patron reported seeing, A lady with a black shawl and a hat sitting on the toilet. From speaking with older members of his clientele he learned this presence was the woman who owned the pub many years ago, so he decided to call in the services of a witch and a medium. After spending a short time in the Saggart Arms white witch David de Roeck and medium Rose Smith find two spirits trapped in the pub. Rose Smith explains they are a mother and son. She does not consider them bad spirits. She believes Sam Mooreheads’s run of misfortune is because the spirits were unhappy being ignored. They would be making a lot of disturbance just to get known for the likes of us to come along and send them home. Thanks to David de Roeck and Rose Smith the spirits have left the Saggart Arms for good. Sam Moorehead trusts this outcome but if it proves false he will be putting the pub up for sale. A ‘Nationwide’ report broadcast on 11 May 1998. The reporter is Patricia Danaher.
