An English composer, born in Newcastle upon Tyne in 1878. These small pieces were composed in the late romantic period. Some pieces sound like Baroque music mixed with early romanticism. In this era, Wagner, Schoenberg, Scriabin, among many other composers, have started to deviate from traditional harmony. Clearly, Carse didn’t adopt the radical harmony that was a trend in Europe.
