Hiking Trail Set (Lane 8, Sultan + Shepard, Nathan Nicholson, Le Youth, Massane, Jerro)

Hey guys. we’re out here with a new mix! This time from this beautiful lookout in Florianopolis, Brazil. This was one of the first videos I made with my talented drone pilot Diego, a local from the area. It was a real test of our partnership because the hour before filming this mix I had convinced him to follow with me through the jungle off the normal trail. I was certain that there was a secret lookout with an incredible view of the beach and we just had a bit further to go to reach it. I’d seen it when exploring the area on my drone while scouting for new mix locations, but finding it on foot was another challenge. We trekked for an hour through thick jungle, soaked with rainwater, searching for this special location. In the end we found ourselves overlooking a cliff with the secret spot right below us, just out of reach. It would have been perfect for our mix, but we just couldn’t reach it. I’ll never forget Diego’s voice behind me (in Portuguese) “Samuel, remember that I have a family!!“. We then decided to turn around and we found this new spot (that you’re seeing now) back along the trail. Thankfully I got him home to his family safe and sound and we ended up filming 10 more mixes around this beautiful island that you’re now seeing on Youtube.
