Syria: Russia’s Deputy PM Borisov welcomed by Assad in Damascus

Syrian President Bashar Assad met with Russia’s Deputy Prime Minister Yuri Borisov in Damascus on Thursday. According to reports, the officials discussed industrial, medical, and energy cooperation between the two countries as well as Russia’s participation in restoring peaceful life in Syria. Borisov leads a Russian delegation that has arrived in the Syrian capital for a meeting of the permanent Russian-Syrian commission for trading, economic, scientific and technical cooperation.
