At Ronaldsway Airport we see several shots of the new Governor of the Isle of Man, Sir Ronald Garvey arriving with his wife and their two young daughters. They are greeted by the First Deemster and Clerk of the Rolls, His Honour SJ Kneale. A small girl, Vivienne Christian presents a bouquet to Lady Garvey. Manx flag flies from airport flagpole. Sir Ronald shakes hands with officials. In Castletown Sir Ronald, in RAF uniform, inspects the RAF guard of honour, then goes into the Courthouse for the ceremony of the Oath of Allegiance and the Oath of Office. Lady Garvey accompanies him. Various shots inside the Courthouse show the ceremony as Sir Ronald takes the Oath. People applaud. Outside, people watch his car driving off. Scenic shots around Ramsey. Several shots of people on hydroplanes on a lake or river. At Douglas we see Great St Mary’s Catholic Church. People go inside for a centenary celebration service. May
