May 28, 2010 RYAN TEDDER from ONEREPUBLIC sings me happy birthday during the today show sound check preface: ryan reads our sign that says “WE JUST TURNED 21. PLEASE SING US ’THE LOOK’... so ryan wishes mary and I a happy 21st and says: “i’m not even sure if i remember the lyrics to that song“... so i ask him to sing another one of my favorite songs, “all we are“ me: yeah, sing “all we are“... i could help you out ryan: yes... you’re coming up with songs i haven’t done in a few years me: whats up? ryan: i said you’re naming songs i haven’t done in a few years (laughs) me: well you can do them now, here’s a perfect place... can you sing happy birthday to me? ryan: happy birthday? me: to melissa ryan sings happy birthday!!! and i freak out afterwardssss ryan: now you take that ... drunk?? (hahaha not sure what he says!)
