Bushcraft Fishing Rod and Reel - ALONE Season 8

I got loads of comments about the bushcraft fishing rod and reel I made on ALONE Season 8 Episode 1 so that’s what this primitive skills video is all about! Long before being dropped off on the shores of Chilko Lake in central British Columbia I knew that primitive fishing was going to be a big part of my survival strategy. So, in preparation for the show I practiced many survival skills including building a fishing pole and reel very similar to the one I used on the show. In this video I recreate that rod and reel using just my Leatherman Free P4 multitool, some paracord, and a little snare wire for the eyelets. Then Coye and I head down to the lake to try it out!
