Gender equality - international Equal Pay Day INTERNATIONAL EQUAL PAY DAY 18 SEPTEMBER| EQUAL PAY FOR WORK OF EQUAL VALUE Goal 8 aims to promote inclusive and sustainable economic growth, full and productive employment and decent work for all. The UN established International Equal Pay Day in 2019 to draw attention to the gender pay gap and the systemic inequalities at its root. Commemorated annually on September 18, the day aims to bring awareness and legitimacy to the issue of gender-based pay discrimination worldwide. Sustainable Development Goal 10 aims at reducing inequality within and among countries. This SDG calls for reducing inequalities in income as well as those based on age, sex, disability, race, ethnicity, origin, religion or economic or other status within a country. Join the action here:
