Israelis and American Jews protest outside of Netanyahu’s hotel in New York City

Dozens of Israelis and American Jews gathered outside Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s hotel in New York City on Monday to call an end to the occupation of Palestine and to protest against Netanyahu’s policies ahead of his meeting with US President Joe Biden on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly. Maya Herman, a founding member of the anti-occupation bloc, told Middle East Eye that the group is calling for an end to the occupation to be added to the main list of demands in the pro-democracy protests that have been taking place in Israel since January 2023.
