A Prehistoric Culture Thrived Here - Ancient Southwestern Rock Art

A prehistoric culture not only survived in this swath of desert but thrived. The evidence is in the art. Images so old they’ve almost disappeared and newer images carved in the same area and by new I mean centuries or millennia old. A fascinating area with a history that no doubt goes back thousands of years. As well as the rock art there are remnants of pit houses or dwellings, depressions in the ground with stacked and scattered rocks all around not to mention pottery fragments everywhere. Contemplating all this leads one down interesting paths of thought. What was daily life like? Was it leisure or was it harsh? Lots to think about and many rabbit holes to descend! Like The Video(s)?
