How to Crochet a Baby Blanket for Beginners (Super EASY & QUICK. Only 1 row to repeat)

Hi everyone! If you would like to learn how to crochet a baby blanket, one that is an easy pattern for beginners, I have a great crochet tutorial for you! ==================== 📌 In this video, I’ll show you how to make the Barclay Baby Blanket, which is made up using the super easy ripple stitch. ==================== 💙 FREE WRITTEN PATTERN ON MY BLOG (US CROCHET TERMS): ==================== 🧡 ETSY SHOP 🧡 You can find AD-FREE, digital crochet patterns here: ==================== 🌟 Set the video to 1080p (much better quality) 🌎 Subtitles available (select the language of your preference) ❤️ If you liked this video, please SUBSCRIBE, SHARE and LIKE! ==================== ⏰ TIMESTAMPS: Jump to the section you need immediately 00:00 Introduction 02:07 Materials 02:37 Row 1 03:58 Row 2 07:35 Row 3 11:20 Border - Round 1 16:23 Border - Round 2 ==================== 📌 This stich has the most wonderful texture as it has a raised, bobble-like effect. The blanket is SO soft and SUPER squishy! Another great feature of this blanket is that it’s really quick and easy to work up – you only have to repeat 1 row throughout the pattern! ==================== 📌 I finished my blanket off with a simple border consisting of 4 rounds of single crochet stitches. I then attached a pom pom to each corner. ==================== 📌 ADJUST THE FINISHED SIZE / USE A DIFFERENT YARN WEIGHT: The finished size of this blanket is 28 by 28 inches, but you can make it in any size you wish. If you would like to change the size or use a different weight of yarn, you will need to adjust the length of your foundation chain. Make a foundation chain that equals the width you would like your blanket to be. The starting chain should be a multiple of 3 1 (plus 1 extra for the foundation chain). You can see how I worked out the multiple in the ‘Pattern Notes’ section of the free written pattern: You will then work your blanket until you have reached the desired length. When using a different weight of yarn and hook size, make sure that you order enough yarn to complete your project! ==================== 📌 For ABSOLUTE BEGINNERS: I would suggest that you practise this pattern with a small sample first: make a chain of 20 then follow the pattern from there. ==================== 📌 DESCRIPTION: For the yarn I used Paintbox Yarns Simply Chunky, which is a #5 bulky yarn, in the colour Duck Egg Blue. For the crochet hook, I used a K hook (). 💙 MATERIALS USED (AFFILIATE LINKS): 🔹Crochet Hook: K () 🔹5 skeins / balls of Paintbox Yarns Simply Chunky 🔹Yarn needle 🔹(OPTIONAL) 2.5“ (6cm) Pom pom maker This blanket really does work up super fast and is great if you need a last-minute gift for an upcoming baby shower! This is a beginner-friendly crochet tutorial, and as long as you know how to work the following stitches, you’ll have no problem in crocheting this sweet baby blanket: ch – chain dc – double crochet sc – single crochet sk – skip sl st – slip stitch st - stitch P.S.
