Russian personnel and volunteers preparing for the New Year 2024   Military personnel and volunteers of the Southern Military District performing the tasks of a special military operation in the Zaporozhye direction, have completed preparations for the New Year 2024. The cooks, together with the logistics units of the Russian Armed Forces, prepared a special menu for the festive table. Traditional dishes for the New Year’s table: Olivier salad, herring under a fur coat, tangerines and sweets, all this was prepared by military chefs for soldiers on the front line and in the rear. In addition, the military personnel decorated their dugouts, positions and temporary deployment points. New Year’s trees, tinsel and most importantly - cards and letters from children. All preparations, like the New Year itself, take place without reducing the combat readiness of the units. Military personnel who are on a rest shift and are not on combat duty in forward positions will be able to sit down at the festive table. Motorised riflemen of the Southern Military District also created a festive mood for the children of one of the sponsored schools in the Zaporozhye region. The military personnel presented the students with sweet gifts, as well as stationery.
