McDonald’s closes 12 Melbourne outlets after delivery driver tests positive to COVID-19

McDonald’s has closed 12 of its restaurants in Melbourne’s north-west after a delivery driver tested positive for COVID-19. Staff were forced to self isolate out of an abundance of caution as the venues were deep-cleaned. McDonald’s was not the only fast-food chain to be hit in the state with Dominos Fairfield closed for cleaning due to a positive COVID-19 test. Meanwhile, Cedar Meats - the source of Victoria’s largest coronavirus cluster - was expected to reopen today. Image: Getty
