Marty Friedman’s exotic style and Jason Becker’s neoclassical playing led to some extremely interesting guitar lines. Literally every song has an amazing solo with a kickass riff behind it. The vocal approach was done in an aggressive fashion which fit the riffs well. However, occasionally they fall flat with corny lyrics that should have been improved. Such a great record yet such an abysmal mix. The mid-range was cranked so high it matched the bass peak. There was no high end or air for the cymbals to breath in and the low end made the kick sound weak. I also had some issues with hissing. After fixing those issues and adding a few compressors, the sound is huge. I’m extremely proud of the result of this one and I hope you guys will enjoy it too.
