Carl Cox and his BMW E30 Alpina B6 3.5

This is the story of DJ Carl Cox’s unique BMW E30 Alpina B6 3.5, one of the most exclusive and best handling sports cars of the 80s. This E30 was originally ordered with a 2.8 litre engine but was later converted into a 3.5 by Alpina at the request of its first owner, who wanted the ultimate expression of Alpina’s B6. The BMW E30 was hard to top, with the original M3 widely considered one of the best cars BMW ever made. Alpina’s recipe for the E30 was a 3.5 litre straight six engine, a new differential, exhaust and induction system as well as revised suspension.
