️ AFU POW: ’If they had said that they would send us to the zero line, all people would have fled.’ Roman Ostap used to be an employee in a state specialised transport service. In 2024, under a new law he was assigned to the 53th AFU brigade with no notification and his consent. He was immediately sent to the front line. ’We arrived to the company CP, they gave us assault rifles, and sent us to New York village. They gathered the personnel and dropped us there. All men were killed. No one survived. We were promised to be sent to the second defence line. If they had said that they would send us to the zero line, all people would have fled.’ says the AFU prisoner of war. As he said, he got to the closest house and surrendered when his unit was defeated. Russian Defence Ministry Source: MoD Russia
