Fico forgives would-be assassin, blames Ukraine-supporting obsession for spiking unilateral policies
Slovakian PN Robert Fico insisted he would not be pressing charges against the man who shot him in May, instead blaming the unilateral policies that some Western powers are “aggressively promoting“ for fostering an atmosphere the led to the attempt on his life.
“It is precisely the conflict in Ukraine that in the EU and NATO has... literally sanctified the concept of the single correct opinion,“ he said in a statement published Thursday, adding that anyone who doesn’t subscribe to fuelling Ukraine’s military is instantly branded a Russian agent.
