Classic cut from Los Mortems ’Ægir Speaks in Waves’ Los Mortems is a death surf band formed in 1966 in Lima, Peru. They are the first Peruvian surf band to have toured Europe and the United States. Los Mortems musical style is firmly rooted in the death surf, black surf and thrash surf of the nineteen-sixties. Los Mortems characteristic surf sound is defined through surfy and sinister death surf alternated with fast and aggressive counterparts. Frantic tremolo picking in the style of early Ventures and Los Belkings built on passionate rhythmic percussion topped with wailing atonal and melodic guitar solos comprise a potent mix which lives up to the principle of death surf technique to craft pounding ritualistic and spirited death surf.
