Eminem and 50 Cent reunite on stage for a rap extravaganza in Michigan

It was a night to remember for hip-hop fans in Michigan as they witnessed a rare reunion of two rap legends: Eminem and 50 Cent. The Detroit native made a surprise appearance at the Pine Knob Music Theatre in Clarkston on Sunday night, joining his longtime friend and collaborator on stage for the latest stop on 50 Cent’s Final Lap tour. The tour marks the 20th anniversary of 50 Cent’s debut album Get Rich or Die Tryin’, which was released by Eminem’s Shady Records in 2003 and featured two guest verses from the Slim Shady himself. The album catapulted 50 Cent to stardom and cemented their partnership as one of the most successful duos in hip-hop history. On Sunday, Eminem hit the stage a half-hour into 50 Cent’s show, igniting a roar from the 15,000-plus crowd as he performed his part on “Patiently Waiting”, one of the tracks from Get Rich or Die Tryin’. The song was followed by “Crack a Bottle”, the lead single from Eminem’s 2009 comeback album Relapse, which also featured 50 Cent and Dr. Dre.
