I came up with the idea to create a work dedicated to the true power of pagan Black Metal in autumn of 2013, even before releasing my debut “A Battle In Autumnal Woods“. Contrary to this debut, “Schwarzmetallwinter“ features german lyrics only and also a more agressive and less epic style of music, allowing the audience to fuel themselves with untamed power and rage. “Die Wölfe Othalas“, “Wolves of Othala“, marks the beginning, followed by “Willenskraft und Ehre“, “Willpower and Honour“. After those battle chants, “Rabenschwarzer Hass“, “Coal-black hatred“, shatters the illusions and beliefs of those who refuse themselves to pursue their truth. “Winterforst“ may be the most important thing I have ever created, music-wise, as it takes you on a lonely journey in a swiss forest in winter time, wallowing in self-hate and depression, wondering about your very own existence, struggling to gain true freedom. “Der Krieg um unser heindisches Land“, “The war for our pagan land“ is another declaration and encouragement of researching and preserving pagan european culture. “Schwarzmetallwinter“, the title track, has a more critical aspect when it comes to social problems. It also glorifies the strength and honour each black metal musician is eager to achieve. “Unser Blut der Finsternis“, “Our blood to darkness“, is a song about sacrifice and mysticism, and ends this 50-minute journey into the woods depicted on the cover art. The picture was taken by myself, and I have written and played all of the material appearing in this video. Despite the sunwheel in my band logo, I am not a person that supports any specific political ideology. I do not make any financial profit through YouTube and I was not influenced by Goatmoon when creating the album title.
