Anna was born in Wangaratta, Victoria in 1960. She completed a Diploma of Fine Art, majoring in painting and printmaking, at Bendigo College of Advanced Education in 1981. In 1983 Anna travelled north to Mackay where she established herself as an artist and teacher.
