Turkey Stops Transit Of Goods, Hungary To Reassess Ties | Putin’s Allies Re-Thinking Russia Support?

Turkey and Hungary have, for the first time, indicated that they may turn against Putin, more than a year after Russia’s invasion of Ukraine. The leaders of the two countries, Erdogan and Orban, have been among the few in NATO & EU to maintain a soft stand on Moscow. This month, the Turkish government abruptly halted the transit of sanctioned goods to Russia, after having received several warnings from the European Union and the United States about these products helping Russia’s war effort in Ukraine. This week, Hungary’s Prime Minister Viktor Orbán announced his country will reassess its relationship with Russia. Both Erdogan and Orban have shown willingness to deal with Putin despite the larger western world boycotting him. Additionally, the two leaders have so far refused to ratify Sweden and Finland’s NATO membership applications. #russiaukrainewar #putin #erdogan #orbán #turkey #hungary #nato #russia #ukraine #ukrainewar #biden n18oc_world n18oc_crux 0
