Southwest Airlines occasionally has “fun flights“ where they essentially throw a party for a special, unique, or even sometimes, random flight. In this case, the awesome Southwest team at Corpus Christi decided to have one on my account. On August 16th I was attempting to break my own daily segments flown record, without changing time zones. It sat at 7, which I completed on Southwest in Hawaii, earlier this year. Well, on this day I was I attempting to fly 8 segments, and Corpus Christi was one of my stops! The crew at CRP was alerted to this and decided it was time for a fun flight! The gate was decorated, custom made signs were crafted, gate games for Southwest Airlines vouchers were played, and snack bags were passed out to every passenger! The crew at Corpus exemplified why Southwest Airlines simply sets themselves apart from other airlines. They were able to not only operate a flight on time, but while doing so gave away $200 in Southwest vouchers, made every single passengers feel welcomed, and simply showed how much they love working for, and being a part of the Southwest family!
