’Me, Mother’ album available here: “Me, Mother” is an ethno-electronic album, which contains ancient songs that were used by women in various rituals during pagan times in Belarus. All dialects of the language are saved. The music on this album can be briefly described as “mystic, deep and ambient”. The German press called it “melancholy feminist songs”. The album is based on the work of two project vocalists who recorded acoustic songs during pregnancy. Both singers were waiting for their daughters and created something like a home album for daughters. In addition to the voices of the girls, eco-sounds were used in the work: the sounds of nature, other voices and the ritual instrument chakapa (it comes from shamanic culture of Peru).
