New underbridge installed for road bypass under rail line in one weekend

Over Easter weekend 2018, Iarnród Éireann with contractors, installed a new underbridge on the main Cork/Dublin rail line at Osberstown near Sallins, for Kildare County Council. The underbridge was constructed in sections beside the rail line over previous months by contractors Sisk and Iarnród Éireann. Work commenced for Easter at 00:30hrs on Good Friday morning and the track was reinstated by 10:00hrs on Easter Monday, with train services resuming at 12:30hrs that day. Video by Shannon Images
