Why Gen Z is the most demanding generation in the workplace

The Covid-19 pandemic has changed the way we work, but also the way we think about work. Some employers have noticed a shift in the attitudes and expectations of their younger workers, especially those belonging to Generation Z, the cohort born between the mid-1990s and the mid-2000s. According to a survey by Quartz and Qualtrics, 37% of Gen Z respondents said their workplace culture had improved since the start of the pandemic, compared to 15% who said it had deteriorated. This suggests that Gen Z workers have enjoyed the flexibility and autonomy of working from home, and may be reluctant to return to the office.
