“I Can See Clearly Now“ - Marsh Family acoustic cover of Johnny Nash song

This song choice and performance is dedicated to the family of our amazing friend, Sharla Chittick, whose mum Carlene sadly passed away recently, and for whom a celebration of life (and a tree planting) is taking place this weekend in Bend, Oregon. As recounted by Sharla and family, hers was a remarkable life - full of the outdoors, animals, travels and adventures - that took her from Texas, New Mexico (where a joint love of saxophone led to a lifetime partnership with Eldon), around the world, and back to North America: Edmonton and Vancouver, Idaho, and latterly Arizona and Oregon. So it’s maybe not as fully unleashed as the original song by Johnny Nash (in 1972), but there’s hopefully a bit of a sense of joy, peace, and also relief in there too - especially since some of the last steps in Carlene’s amazing life journey (and therefore those caring for her) involved dealing with the impact of dementia. That disease sometimes clouds memories not just inside those suffering but also the memories of them, so it’s even more important to look for and celebrate the blue sky behind and around us. ___________________________ Support us here: - PayPal to leave us a tip jar: - Patreon for ongoing support & bonuses: Find our other channels here: Follow us here: - - - - - @marshfamilysongs - ___________________________
