First Basque Kings of Navarre (Pamplona)

The noble Basque warrior, Inigo Arista began a new kingdom which later became known as Navarre. His son Garcia ruled next and fought against the Muslim Emir of Cordoba with the King of the Asturias. Garcia’s son, Fortun was captured by the Emir of Cordoba and married a Muslim princess. Fortun’s daughter, Onneca, married the Emir Abdullah of Cordoba, uniting Christian royalty with Muslim Umayyad rulers. After Fortun returned to his kingdom, he was dethroned by a coup and forced to live out his years as a monk.
