Albino alligator gets acupuncture for bad back

An albino alligator in Brazil is being given acupuncture to help treat the over-curvature of his spine and the therapy appears to be going well! Bino suffers from a Lordosis, which is an abnormal curvature of his spine, and in animals is also termed kyphosis. The alligator has been receiving weekly acupuncture sessions, which his vet Daniela Cervatti says has been a huge success. “His response (to the acupuncture) was wonderful,“ she said. “He was without sensitivity in two or three sections. He has already regained sensitivity in his feet and he started to move more. “He wasn’t entering the water, but he has started response we have seen in him has been very gratifying.“ Report by Melissa Nathoo.
