The faster percussion and reduced emphasis on melancholic melodies mark a stark contrast to the project’s previous works. The shift is quite palpable, where the drums drive the music with relentless speed and intensity. This aggressive stance propels the music forward, crafting a more intense and confrontational atmosphere that energises the compositions. Despite this newfound ferocity, Que Metal’s knack for memorable harmonies remains intact. Its melodic structure, while slightly less melancholic, is still rich and the integration of post-black metal transitions enriches it further, ensuring that the music does not lose its emotional depth amidst the aggression.
