Hong Kong: Lantau Island freshwater stream biotope and fish

Filmed in a stream on Lantau Island, this video shows the diversity of freshwater fish in a small fast flowing pool. The entire underwater part of the video was shot within a radius of about 1m. Hong Kong is home to some 185 species of freshwater fish, many of them endangered due to habitat destruction, channelisation of creeks and waterways, and pollution.
