Explosion at Thailand fireworks factory kills at least 23

The fireworks factory, located in the Thai province of Suphan Buri some 120 kilometers north of Bangkok, was completely destroyed by the explosion with no signs of any survivors so far. Local police said that the cause of the explosion is yet unclear. No damage was caused to other buildings as the factory was located between rice fields. Fireworks factory explosions and accidents are not uncommon in Thailand. One worker at the same factory was killed in an accident in 2022.
