Green Sleeves ~ Neal

Green Sleeves is an English Country Dance found in “A Choice Collection of Country Dances“ published by the Neals in about 1726. It has been interpreted by Fogg and Jackson. It is a proper triple minor longways dance.. This dance has similarities to Playford’s “Green Sleaves and Yellow Lace“. The animation plays at 120 counts per bar normally, but the first time through the set the dance is often slowed down so people can learn the moves more readily. Men are drawn as rectangles, women as ellipses. Each couple is drawn in its own color, however the border of each dancer indicates what role they currently play so the border color may change each time through the minor set.
