East Meets West [1995] Hiroyuki Sanada as Kenkichi Kamijō Director : Kihachi Okamoto 岡本喜八 Over a year ago I made a video using screenshots from this film, but since I have been working hard to learn more, I thought it was time to complete an extended and updated version. Hope that you will like it. Very funny and heartwarming story, and I can easily watch this film over and over. The cast was fantastic, and the camera work interesting and beautiful. Thank you so much to the director, writer, cast, and crew for making such a lovely and enjoyable film! One thing that impresses me in particular is that when this film was made, [according to several sources] Mr. Sanada had not yet learned English. Yet, he does an absolutely phenomenal job of delivery and intonation. Very impressive. Thanks go to Mr. Sanada as always for his work and dedication to his art. Thank you.
