Queen Elizabeth II was presented with a gift from Azerbaijan’s President Ilham Aliyev

Queen Elizabeth II of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland received a delegation headed by the President of the Equestrian Federation of Azerbaijan Elchin Guliyev at Windsor Palace. During the meeting, the queen was presented with a gift from Azerbaijan’s President Ilham Aliyev - a Karabakh horse named Shohrat. The Queen was also presented with sculptures of the horses of Dilbaz breed, created by Azerbaijani sculptor Faik Hajiyev. Queen Elizabeth II thanked the delegation for the gifts, and also for the regular participation of Azerbaijan in the Windsor Royal Horse Show. It should be noted that in 1956, the then leader of the USSR Nikita Khrushchev sent the Queen as a gift a Karabakh horse named Zaman. But back then the gift was presented on behalf of the USSR, while now it is done on behalf of Azerbaijan and its President Ilham Aliyev.
