(1949) Performed by USSR State TV and Radio Chorus. (1987) Hero of the Soviet Union, Major-General Sidor Artemyevich Kovpak. During the Great Patriotic War, he was one of the organisers of the partisan movement in Ukraine. He commanded the partisan detachment in the Spadshchansky forest, the united Putivl partisan detachment and the united partisan detachments of the Sumy region.
