8 POINT SPIRAL MANDALA ( Tie Dye Method)

For today’s video I will be making a spiral 8 POINT MANDALA Tie Dye Tutorial using hot water irrigation technique. Let’s see how it turns out.. I Hope you guys like it. Enjoy! Subscribe: How to Tie Dye using Fiber Reactive Dye 1. Prewash the shirt with detergent. 2. Soak the shirt in Soda Ash for minimum of 1hr and maximum of 48hrs. Soda Ash mixture(1 cup per 1 gallon.) Soda ash is reusable. 3. Dry the shirt a bit (Damp.) Not so wet and not so dry. 4. Fold the shirt according to the desired design(Spiral, Scrunch, Mandala, Geode & etc..,) 5. For Liquid, Dye and Water ratio. Black and Red - 2tsp dye powder to 300ml water Other Color - 1tsp for 200ml(Except Pastel Colors) Pastel Color - 1/8 tsp to 100ml. Note* It depends on the shade you want to achieve. The more dye the darker shade the more water the lighter shade. 6. Apply the Dye. Once done put it inside the plastic bag and set aside for 2-3days. This process is called curing process. For HWI, the curing process is 15mins to 1hr. For Ice Dye, the curing process is 24hrs. For LWI, the curing process is 1hr. 7. After 2-3 days rinse the shirt in a running water. you can use Zonrox colorsafe or synthrapol to avoid bleeding.. 8. Let it dry and enjoy your tie dye shirt. Thank you for watching!
