Germany / Switzerland. Title: “Winterspiele in Davos“. M/S of three men and a women getting onto a bob sleigh. Various shots of the sleigh zooming down an icy track going down a snowy slope, spectators watch the sleigh from the edge of the track. Title: “Mathlsen, Norwegen, lauft 1000 mtr. in neuer Rekordzeit von 1,31,1 Minuten“. M/S of a man - Mathlsen - speed skating around a circular track on a large ice rink. High angled panning shot follows the ice skater around the rink. Panning L/S of the skater speeding around, in the distance are snow capped mountains and wooden chalets. C/U of Mathlsen waving a bunch of flowers and smiling, he wears the Norwegian flag on his jumper and appears to wear a laurel crown on his head. Note: titles in German, marked as ’Ufa-Wachenschau’.
