Popeyes - (w)Rap Battle - Official Video

Popeyes asked us to make a (w)rap battle for them. McDonald’s beefed with the wrong chicken(wrap). Here’s how we did the impossible and made this in just THREE DAYS (Prompts included) First off, big thanks to Popeyes (and Alex Antonello) for trusting this wild idea on such a tight timeline. Last week they hit me up saying McDonald’s Snack Wrap is launching and they wanted a diss track. I said sure… as long as I’m not the one rapping That’s when we brought in Zayd (@creatrgod ). I worked with Zayd on my recent @Timbaland music video and he’s one of the most talented artists I know. Zayd’s team made the track in a DAY and when we heard it we knew we had something special. Humans @SunoMusic (co-creation) We started with image-to-video but it was too slow and we had less than 3 days when I scrapped all of our work and said we use only Veo 3. I co-directed with @Dawit_nm (I led high-level, concepts, AI, team; Dawit focused on story and edit). Additional creative by @TheoDudley We wanted something that went hard but didn’t take itself seriously. Once we switched to Veo 3, creating a story about people having fun around town with chicken wraps became easy. It all came together when we added the clown bits and the crazy animals at the party. I’ll do a quick technical overview here, but if you want the full breakdown (including prompts from this video), I’m sharing it in my newsletter, dropping this weekend. It’s free and takes 5 seconds to sign up! One is the lip-sync (or lack of) shot. All the lip sync models were not hitting the mark, so we just threw a huge pop filter in front of our virtual talent’s face. Full post on my X
