The civil war in Yemen is now regarded as the world’s worst humanitarian crisis. But behind it lies an extremely complex range of factors and forces. As well as various internal actors - such as the Hadi Government, the Houthi Movement, the Southern Transitional Council and a local offshoot of Al Qaeda - it has sucked in a number of regional countries, including Saudi Arabia, Iran and the United Arab Emirates. This has made it incredibly difficult for many outside observers to understand the conflict. So, what is the Yemeni Civil War about? And why is it still ongoing? Hello and welcome!
